Pel said he was "ready for 90 minutes, extra time" after Brazilian football left the intensive care unit (ICU) of Sao Paulo Hospital after surgery to remove a tumor from the colon.
Routine0-year-old Alberto Einstein, a three-time World Cup winner, was hospitalized after a tumor was found during a routine examination. The tumor was removed earlier this month and sent for analysis.
Pel said on Instagram, "My friends, this is a message for each of you. Don't think for a minute that I haven't read the thousands of love messages I've received here."
"Thank you so much to each of you who have dedicated a minute of your day to sending me positive energy. Love, love and love! I have already left the ICU and I am in my room.
"I continue to be happy every day with a lot more attitude for playing happ0 minutes and extra time. We'll be together soon!"
Pel has been suffering from hip problems for many years and cannot walk without help. His public appearance was cut short before the Covid-1 pandemic epidemic, and he has since made some unnecessary expeditions outside his home to Santos.
